Opening Doors in Healthcare is an affordable workforce development program designed to equip entry-level individuals—especially those with no prior experience—with the skills, training, and professional readiness to succeed in the fast-growing healthcare industry.
Through hands-on instruction, soft-skill development, and one-on-one mentoring, participants gain the foundation to secure roles such as:​

  • Billing Customer Service

  • Patient Services Specialist

  • Front Desk Representative/Scheduler

  • Insurance Verification Specialist

We support:

  • Individuals 18 and older high school graduates/GED with no prior healthcare experience

  • Former foster youth, single parents, and career changers seeking stability

  • Motivated individuals eager to build a long-term career in healthcare

We believe everyone deserves a chance to succeed with the right training and opportunity.

🎁 Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a gift card stipend to purchase interview attire.

Youth Ages 12-17

This program gives teens a head start on their future. Participants don’t just learn job skills—they gain confidence, direction, and a clear path toward a stable, high-demand career in healthcare. By enrolling early, youth can:

  • Build Real-World Skills: Learn customer service, communication, professionalism, and computer skills that prepare them for any career.

  • Explore Healthcare Careers Early: Discover what it’s like to work in medical offices, clinics, and hospitals before graduating high school.

  • Earn Career Readiness Certificates: Show future employers and colleges they’re motivated, trained, and ready to succeed.

  • Gain Mentorship and Support: Work with experienced professionals who guide them through goal setting, teamwork, and leadership.

  • Stay Engaged and Empowered: Instead of waiting until adulthood, they start learning now—building resumes, practicing interviews, and developing purpose.

  • Transition Smoothly to Employment: When they turn 18, they’ll be eligible to interview with our partner healthcare employers for paid positions.
